Archifdy Ceredigion ArchivesRural District Councils - CardiganACC. 39 Ref: CDRRecords of Cardigan Rural District Council, deposited with the Teifiside Rural District Council records by the Chief Executive, Ceredigion District Council, 21 November 1975. Cardigan Rural District Council was created under the provisions of the Local Government Act of 1894. The district comprised the parishes of Aberporth, Blaenporth, Llandygwydd, Llangoedmore, Llechryd, Mount, Tremain and Verwig. In 1934 the rural district of Cardigan amalgamated with that of Llandyssul to form the Teifiside rural district. The records were formerly listed as SRD/6.
